Market Weighton Civic Society Needs You!

An East Yorkshire market town needs your help to reform its Civic Society. The organisation based in Market Weighton are looking for new members to form a committee and revive their long tradition of conservation work done in the town since it was founded in 1967. In recent years this has included the development of the Giant Bradley footprint trail and a continuing involvement with maintaining the heritage of this historic place. A meeting will be held at Market Weighton Community Hall on Station Road on Thursday 30th June 2016 at 7pm. The evening will include a presentation from the acting chairman of the Society, Kevin Trickett about the good work which civic societies do in towns across the country; plus the recruitment of new members. All are welcome to attend.
