Touching Ninety

John describes the contrasting changes in weather that he has seen for each season over the years.

Summer hot, summers sweet,
Sunshine all the way,
Summers cold, summers dire,
Raining every day.
Autumns fair, autumns grand,
Brooklets running dry,
Autumns harsh, autumns rough,
Hurricanes come by.
Winters bleak, winters hard,
Ice and heavy snow,
Winters kind, winters meek,
Gentle breezes blow.
Springs stark, springs late,
Icicles yet cling,
Springs mild, springs warm,
Early everything,
Climate changes, global dangers,
Yes, of course it’s true,
There has been it, I have seen it,
All these long years through!
